Of fires,

And rivers,

And strange light,

And early March days -

On the cusp of Spring.

Winds blowing in from the north -

Rising and falling

And coming back again.

But losing their sting now;

Receding.

Winter in its last death throes-

Trying to hang on,

But weakening.

In this fading twilight

Under the full moon.
